Michael "Martin" Meredith’s first experience with theatre was in l965 at Concord College, Athens, WV, in Lillian Hellman’s Little Foxes." In 1967 he began working professionally in San Francisco for the Bay Area School Theatre, performing roles from Moliere to Dostoyevsky. He has since toured the country in professional and community theatre productions, playing characters like Samuel Clemens, Edgar Allan Poe and his personal favorite, Ebenezer Scrooge. Martin’s film experience includes roles in the John Sayles’ film "Matewan," "The Silence of the Lambs" and Morgan Spurlock’s "BDP-125." He has also done commercials, industrial films, and training videos as well as served as casting director for many projects in West Virginia.
Martin is beginning his tenth year as Mayor of the City of Mount Hope, West Virginia.
He has been a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild for twelve years.
